The on/off switch, it doesn't belong there. It probably belongs to a night lamp or something because I am pretty sure , hair dryers don't have their switches on the cord, their mainly put on the handle.

No girls answered, I think cause to them it is blatantly obvious.What happened is that the hair dryer buttons stopped working, and instead of buying a new one, these cheapskates stuck this stupid switch onto it.
